Just saw the very much anticipated Alien prequel PROMETHEUS today. Now as movie promotion was ramping up, I was less than enthused. Granted, I would have seen it anyway since I’m a sci-fi fan, but the initial teaser trailers felt too Event Horizon/Astro-Horror and basically revealed not even a good teaser to whet one’s appetite.

The 2012 Summer Movie season is upon us. Its my favorite part of the year for movies. Sure one usually will not find those well-acted dramas that cut to the core of their very existence, but more often than not Hollywood will offer a bevy of big, fun, bombastic event movies that wow your socks off.

Yeah, I know. It took me long enough to make my first New Year’s post. My fault. Here’s to 2012, which should hopefully bear better fruit for everyone after the rough year that was 2011.
