I am finally the proud owner of an xBox 360! Thank you Black Friday (which i took part in from the comfort on my own home)! Feels cool but weird. Looking forward to finally jumping into this gaming world that I’ve only scratched the surface of by means of friends’ consoles. My first game is Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, but I can’t wait to plunder through the rest of my gaming Wish List!
In other news, I also finished ‘A Clash of Kings.’ A really great read. But I’m going to take a bit of a break from the ‘Song of Fire and Ice’ series to check out this ‘Hunger Games’ thing. I’m hoping for something good, based off what I’ve heard from others (media not included). Plus, I need a good sci-fi read as its been a while.
But as for my Marilyn Monroe mention, I saw ‘My Week with Marilyn Monroe’ today starring Michelle Williams. Other than Meryl Streep in ‘The Iron Lady’ and maybe Michelle Yeoh in ‘The Lady’ I don’t have a clue who the other Best Actress contenders are. But daaaaaaamn if Michelle Williams is not a frontrunner after her knockout performance as Marilyn Monroe. Even though they don’t necessarily look alike, Michelle Williams got the mannerisms, the voice and the spirit completely down to the letter. That’s how good she was. See the movie and you’ll get my point.
And lastly, I’m about four chapters away from finishing my novella. Its been flowing so well its ridiculous. I’ve started on Chapter 11 and am hope to get that and Chapter 12 done by the end of the week. After that, ist back into the familiar realm of the Star Brigade universe. Ha! Til next time.
