Its official. I LOVE London. Its like an east coast city but with major British features and royalty.
I got into town Wednesday afternoon after a 10+ hour flight from Los Angeles. Traffic killed any chance of doing stuff on Wednesday. But Thursday was way more productive. One of my cousins gave me a sweet tour of some London sights, like the London Eye, Hyde Park, Wellington Arch, Waterloo Station and Harrods. All in all, a fun day. Also, I got my London Hard Rock Hurricane glass. WINNING!! (Sorry.)
Even cooler, an American couple saw my HRC bag and excitedly asked where it was. Hope my directions helped them.
London felt so familiar, despite all the bags and the massive camera I was hauling around. Its fascinating people watching and listening to the myriad of accents around town. London is amazingly diverse and racial integrated. It was also really nice to see how many Nigerians and West Africans were all over London. Loved it.
Another thing I noticed, and have seen in other countries, is the divergence in US movie posters over in the UK. For instance, the Limitless movie poster in the US only had Bradley Coooper on it. BUT…since Bradley is not as big an international star yet, they added Bobby De Niro to it. I always find those types of tweaks fascinating. More updates to come as the Eurotrip vacation progresses.
