Writing and such

I’m about halfway through the new manuscript, which has been lots of fun to do. As I’ve stated in the past, I love sci-fi and will be keeping most of my writing fcoused on that genre. But damn, I didn’t think writing regular contemporary fiction would be so much fun!

In writing this story, I found myself mapping out future scenes in my head or finding better solutions to exisiting plots even when I was away from my computer. I’m hoping to have a rough draft done sometime this month, as my plan is to increase my writing quality while producing more manuscripts in shorter timeframes. Its a challenge, but I’m game to do it.

After this project its back to editing the second Star Brigade book and then beginning work on the third Star Brigade book, which I re-outlined a few months ago.

As for finally releasing my Star Brigade books on ebook format, that probably will be sometime early next year after I’ve gotten the cover art locked down. I’m really looking forward to this, but I don’t want to repeat the mistakes I made when I first released my debut novel via self-publishing.

Onto other topics, I read last week about how twenty-three year old Gaby Dunn created a project called http://100interviews.com. In what started off as a way to continue to tell stories and better her own writing, Gaby now landed a publishing deal over it. Pretty damn cool! Check out the site if you haven’t already. Its pretty amazing!
