The Latest and Greatest

Adele is taking the music industry by storm. My thoughts? Awesome! That girl can sing. About time we start getting back to actual singers who don’t need excessive auto-tuning or a generic dance beat to top the Billboards.

Adele’s first album, 19, was promising, but was a bit too slow on many tracks. Her sophomore effort, 21, is a vast improvement. It has a fantastic and very retro-soul sound to it. But one of my favorite quotes from Adele’s Rolling Stone interview was “I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.” Love it. Anyhow…

Back in the USA

Actually I got back on Monday April 4th. A fun, adventurous trip with so much I’d never seen before. But its good to be back in the States. I missed driving on the right side of the road!

Some of my favorite sights on the English part of my trip?

Bath – Lovely city, plenty to see and had gorgeous Georgian architecture. Great walking city once you get to the city center. Plus people are really friendly and helpful if you’re lost. I still need to see the American Museum.

South West England

Did you know that the British say ‘schedule’ the exact way that it its spelled? HA! Had me in stitches a few nights ago.

Eesh, was the whole ‘driving on the wrong side of the road’ thing a transition. Had a few mishaps, some not helped by how narrow British roads are. But I got the hang of it. Still can’t wait to get back on the right side of the spacious American roads.
