The State of Things

I saw Oblivion a few weeks back. Much better than TRON: Legacy by miles, but still missing that something that could ave made it great. I thing a lot of that was how the story tried to tack on too many ideas for its own good. Latest and Greatest

Hey there!

Back with some more updates. Basically I’ve been rewriting chapters of the first Star Brigade book. Its been a fun process revisiting the book and adding new layers to these older writings. The Star Brigade saga has evolved so much since I first released First Renaissance, I’m very happy to add in those components so that it flows in better with the second and third books.

I’m also doing a few short stories here and there, a few of the latest ones are basically in-betweeners that happened during the first book, but from the POVs of minor characters. All in all its been fun. I am looking to get this done in the next few months so I can re-release this in the fall. More updates to come.

Now, onto some awesome Game of Thrones stuff.

Just watched the first episode of Season 3. A bit slow, yes, but it is all about setup. This season, if done right, will be bananas! By the way, Tywin Lannister is the worst father EVER.

Also, I just finished the fourth ASoIaF novel, A Feast For Crows. It was extremely good, as I downed it in three weeks. It might not have been as epic as A Storm of Swords, but given what happened in that book (its first half being the basis for GoT Season 3) there was no way to follow that up. Anyhow, till next time. Here’s a sci-fi short I found on the Wide, Wide World of Web.

Updates and Casual Vacancy Thoughts

Just finished J.K. Rowling’s ‘The Casual Vacancy’ last week. My thoughts? I still love the way she writes, and this book was an ambitious first novel after the massive success of Harry Potter. Read more ›
