It was 1988 or so when we first got the Apple IIc. Back then, that was a top of the line computer. While, of course we mainly used it for school papers and projects, I remember using it to play games that came on huge floppy disks. And most importantly, I remember using it to write the very first stories I ever came up with.
Now I cannot for the life of me remember fully what those stories were, other than that when I wrote my first version of the story, I forgot to save the damn Apple IIc before I turned off the computer. So I, to my dismay, had to rewrite everything!
Either way, the Apple computer was the start of my journey as a writer before I even knew I wanted to be a writer. The Apple introduced me to the world of computers, even though I’m now mainly a PC user. In short, the Apple expanded my world. And for that I will be forever grateful.
