Why is it so hard for some people to shut the hell up during a movie screening??
Trust me, I’m the last person to get bent out of shape over the occasional comment, snark or loud laugh. But if you’re going to have an entire audible conversation throughout the WHOLE length of a movie, just wait for the DVD and stay your loud ass at home! Eesh!
That’s what I had to deal with during my viewing of Battle: Los Angeles. The whole damn movie.
Thankfully the THX audio was just loud enough so that the noise didn’t enitrely ruin the viewing, but I could hear their murmured conversation one row back. The whole time. Anyways…
Battle Los Angeles was fun. The action was good, very Call Of Duty-esque, with outstanding special effects. Of course, the interpersonal story was minimal and weak, but who expected another District 9 in the middle of March? I’d recommend for viewing with friends. Enough said.
My first trip to Europe in almost 6 years is in less than a week, and its just starting to hit me. But with all the horrible stuff going on in Japan, it further reminded me one of the big reasons I travel.
In one moment of devastation, something aged and beautiful that has stood for centruies can be wiped away by manmade or natural destruction. And there’s now was to get that something back. Best to see as much as we can now and not wait if possible, because tomorrow is not promised.
Below are a number of places where you can donate to help relief in Japan:
Till next time, folks!
