Borders is shutting down as of this week. W-O-W. Who’d have thought that?! That was one of the big two bookstore chains that all writers strived for placement in. It had been rumored for months that Borders was in trouble. But after a last minute buyer fell through over the past few days, Borders will be liquidating effective immediately.
What does this mean for publishers and writers alike?

July 5, 2011 Season 4 of True Blood is off to an interesting start. I really liked the 2nd episode more than the first. (SPOILER ALERT) We got a flashback of how Bill became King of Louisiana, plus we see how much of a threat these witches are to our resident vamps. Coolio. However, the Hotshot storyline and Crystal and her brother-cousin inbred hillbilly crap needs to go. I’m DONE with that mess.
Still watching Falling Skies. For now. I’m feeling the same way about this show that I did about Fringe early Season 1. Meh. It hasn’t done enough to turn me off yet. But I still need more of a reason to care about these characters and the stakes they’re facing, which I still am not feeling yet. I’ll give it a few more episodes.
