About

C.C. Ekeke is a science fiction author and occasional blogger. His first novel, Star Brigade: First Renaissance, was published in early 2006 by Llumina Press. The San Antonio Express called his debut novel “a pulp sci-fi tale reminiscent of early works by sci-fi pioneer Robert Heinlein.”

Ekeke is currently working on Star Brigade: The Supremacy, a sequel to First Renaissance and second book in the Star Brigade® book series, as well as a number of other literary projects.

C.C. Ekeke was born in Rockville, Maryland during the fall of 1979, but lived in Missouri and Georgia before settling down in California. The ideas that would eventually become the Star Brigade originated from Ekeke’s love for science fiction and action/adventure cartoons. However, he gained the most satisfaction from creating his own characters rather than drawing characters from his favorite shows. He was often reprimanded for sketching in elementary school; at one point, he was banned from drawing in class during the first grade.

The sketching continued, however, and eventually evolved into comic books which focused on a superhero team with fantastic powers and abilities. Star Brigade finally began to come together during Ekeke’s final year in high school. He considered turning the team’s adventures into a comic book until a glance through earlier sketches during his college years revealed that these stories demanded to be placed in the form a novel. Thus, the Star Brigade project began.

He currenly lives in Los Angeles hard at work on the second STAR BRIGADE book.
